Tristan's Zebra is the title of my first book. Tristan's Zebra is also my brand name to celebrate Neurodiversity.
I am Maureen, a Special Educational Needs parent to a very complex and severely autistic boy named Tristan. I am also a musician and composer who is passionate about music. So I am highly motivated to combined autism and music to write true to life story books accompanied with music which demonstrate life according to one child with autism.
My
first book, Tristan’s Zebra is a quirky story about how I wrote a piece of music for my son whilst inspiring young children to take a step inside the world of Autism with Tristan.
My ambitions and aims are:
1) To celebrate Neurodiversity
2) To raise childrens awareness of autism through fun short stories and music
And eventually I hope to be able to raise funds to help set up supported living complexes for adults who will be unable to care for themselves in the community.
